“Oh and grab some black silicone!” Leslie asks as I head out for another supply run. Little did I know that this was a sticky run-in with destiny: me and my caulk gun partner would soon be lining every window of Ashen Cabin. Tracing is a nice way to get to know something. Gentle application and steady pressure for smooth thin lines and then sealing the slime with a gentle run of my gloved finger. But, like all partnerships, we hit some bumps. Go too fast and the seal won’t hold. Go too slow and the line thickens to a bulge of sludge - bubbling, ballooning, and bloating. The oozing black goo held my focus for hours... and permanently smeared my t-shirt and jeans. I guess their fate was sealed!
