HANNAH Collaboration with Cornell RCL

HANNAH collaborates with the Cornell Robotic Construction Laboratory [RCL] on projects that involve advanced digital fabrication and computation. The Cornell Robotic Construction Laboratory is directed by Sasa Zivkovic who is also an Assistant Professor at the Cornell College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. RCL invents advanced methods of robotic construction and aims to reveal their full architectural potential. In collaboration with HANNAH, RCL provides scientific development for full-scale architectural research projects. RCL aims to craft new architectural histories and push disciplinary boundaries. To help disseminate ideas and provide access to otherwise expensive full-scale fabrication equipment, RCL has developed two open-source large-scale fabrication systems: a three axis gantry 3D printer called "Daedalus" as well as a re-commissioned KUKA KR200/2 industrial robotic arm called "Dionysus".
